Hard fought battle to win ‘The Bradleys Trophy’

- Thu 30 Jul 2015

140 Ladies congregated at Woodbury Park Golf and Country Club to earn the right to lift the coveted ‘Bradleys Trophy’ at one of the major golf events of the Ladies golf calendar. The Woodbury Park Ladies Open has been proudly supported by Bradleys for the past 12 years and the winner of this prestigious competition not only gets their name engraved on the valuable trophy that stays on display in a cabinet in the clubhouse, but they get to keep a replica to place on their mantelpiece for posterity. The replica had a slight twist as this year the Ladies Open coincided with The Open at St Andrew’s, so Lyndon Bent, Commercial Director at Bradleys felt it apt that this took the form of a Claret Jug.

Lyndon added ‘We have a fond affiliation with Woodbury Park and this event attracts players from all over the West Country most areas of which are covered by Bradleys 33 office network. One player, however flew in from Bangkok to play, but Lyndon confirmed that he was not looking to open an office there. Yet!

Pictured with Lyndon presenting the Bradleys Trophy is the overall winner, Jo Lethaby from Portmore who had an amazing 45 points. The winning team was Mickie Ward from Woodbury Park with Sandra Sydenham and Rowan Edbrooke from East Devon Golf Club.

Lyndon is looking forward to presenting the trophy again next year on Thursday 14th July 2016.
