Bradleys Chartered Surveyors - Building Surveys

Bradleys Chartered Surveyors - members of RICS

A Building Survey is suitable for all residential and commercial properties and provides the fullest possible picture of their construction and condition. It is likely to be needed if the property is, for example, of unusual construction, listed, old and large, dilapidated or has been extensively altered and where a major conversion or renovation is planned. It can be tailored to your individual requirements and includes extensive technical information on construction and materials as well as details of the whole ranges of defects. The work is undertaken in accordance with the relevant RICs guidance notes.

The Surveyors main duties when undertaking a Building Survey are:

  • To assess the construction and condition of the property
  • To provide technical advice on problems and remedial works
The report provides:
  • A detailed description of the structure and main components
  • Details of all defects found and solutions
  • Details of suspected defects with advice for investigation and repair
  • A note of points which should be referred to your legal advisers
  • A note of other relevant considerations concerning matters such as safety, the locality and environmental factors

Additional services such as valuation, insurance reinstatement cost, and testing of services can be provided or arranged.
