3 things to check before moving!

- Tue 14 Sep 2021

With the leaves starting to fall on the trees, the evenings drawing in, the feeling of a new season often brings around changes in our personal lives whether that be a new hobby, perhaps the booking of a holiday or even a new home!>/p>

f you are thinking of moving and need to sell your home you should be thinking about maximising the value and/or saleability of your property and so here are 3 quick points that you should be considering when looking at selling.

1 - First impressions! Whether the garden needs a tidy up, the front door a lick of paint or the path de-weeding, you can never re-create a first impression when selling your home. When marketing your property its open for all eyes to see, at all times whether that’s online or driving past the for sale board, if it’s not looking inviting you may lose out!

2 - De-cluttering. This may sound obvious to many, although all too often homes are a host to a lot of items that could be stored out of sight or removed altogether! Creating the feeling of space in a property is very important and something that we all look for when buying. By getting rid of any items that take up masses amount of space or tidying away items that you sometimes may leave out on the side can make a massive difference to someone visualising their life in your property.

3 - Lighting is key! The lighter and brighter a home, the more appeal it will naturally have. It could be as simple as making sure your curtains are tied back, removing thick blinds or cleaning the windows. There are many ways in which lighting can be improved, particularly in your main living areas such as sitting rooms, kitchens and dining rooms.
