4 ways to make the most of the time in your garden this August

With the evenings drawing in now is the perfect time to be in the garden while you can! We thought we would come up with 4 fun ways to make the most of the garden especially whilst the children are still home for the holidays.

1. Spending time with the little ones! Creating a bug hotel, looking around your garden for leaves, pinecones, bark, twigs and pebbles. This will all provide structure for the bug hotel and as we head into Autumn it should also attract the creatures trying to hide away! Hopefully amusing your little ones for hours, not to mention this can be educational too!

2. Making a mini bar! What better way to entertain quests and make the most of the long summer evenings than your own home bar? With it being easy enough to convert a garden shed or attaching a shelf on an outside wall. Even being a bit extra and attaching some garden fairy lights to make the perfect place to create your favourite drinks!

3. Water fights and paddling pools! With the weather being so temperamental in the UK you can prepare the little ones with water balloon fights on a sunny day and splashing in muddy puddles on a rainy day! Paddling pools are always exciting for children and if we are lucky to have a super-hot day before the end of the month, close your eyes and with a bit of imagination it's like we are abroad.
