Awards Evening a huge success

- Wed 04 Jan 2017

There was rather a lot of anticipation, a few nerves, but most of all genuine excitement at this year’s Awards Ceremony at our Head Office in Exmouth on 21st December. The staff looked glamorous as they arrived in their black ties and party dresses from across our 33 offices.

The event celebrates the best performers of the year from across the group as well as recognising the tremendous loyalty shown by some of the staff. It was the Long Service Awards that were presented by the Group Chairman, Brian Bradley, which saw 3 people receive a 20 year award; Alison Wright (HR Manager), Tom Davies (Director of Surveyors) and Neil Carr (Mortgage Advisor), followed by 6 people who received a 10 year service award: Richard Greetham (Director), Katherine Edwards (Shaldon), Iain Christie (Plymouth), Chris Mitchell (Paignton), Jacqui Rix (Looe) and Anna McKain (Exmouth).

The excitement grew when the next award was presented by the Director of Bradleys Financial Management, David Lewis, for success in Financial Services where Iain Christie returned to receive the accolade. This was followed by the Luxury Homes Office of the Year, presented by Director, Richard Greetham and was awarded to the Sidmouth office. Next up was the Manager of the Year presented by Lyndon Bent who announced that Lynn Foster from the Torquay Office was the well-deserved winner. Then the award that always gets the various teams in the room very excited; The Office of the Year Award. This years’ winners were the team from Callington who all came up to receive the trophy from Managing Director, Francis Marshall. An incredible achievement to beat 32 other offices over the course of the year.

The final award of the evening, Employee of the Year, was presented by Group Chairman, Brian Bradley, with 10 nominees all fully justified for being at the top of their class. After a tense build up it was announced that Kevin James, New Homes Sales Manager received the coveted title of Employee of the Year out of over 200 employees, a testament to the hard work and dedication shown throughout the year.

The awards were followed by a buffet and disco as well as the traditional Christmas Charity Raffle. This years’ sponsored charity, The Exeter Deaf Academy, will receive the £710 that was raised throughout the evening.

Managing Director, Francis Marshall, commented “This is one of the best events we have had and the competition for the awards was incredible. We continue to drive our own standards higher and higher and are very much looking forward to continuing that in 2017.”
