Rounding up Movember!

- Wed 06 Dec 2023

Bradleys finished Movember with mouch success! Moustaches were grown, money has been raised and challenges to complete the 60k have been met. With every penny raised supporting men's mental health and suicide prevention.

With 5 team members from Bradleys participating in the challenge a total of £510 has been raised for the charity.

Since 2003, Movember has been a tool to raise awareness for men’s mental and physical health. It has funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects, ranging from men’s mental health and suicide prevention to prostate cancer and testicular cancer and has become infamous for ‘challenging the status quo, shaking up men’s health research and transforming the way health services reach and support men’.

To put the money raised into perspective –

£15 raised will help provide reassurance and peer-to-peer support through the ‘Nuts & Bolts’ program for a man who’s just received a testicular cancer diagnosis.

£20 raised will support the delivery of mental health literacy training to a parent, coach, or volunteer in a community sporting club.

£30 will help to fund community programs like Brothers Through Boxing, connecting young, socially isolated men through regular boxing training and group discussions to encourage men to open up.

Lastly £50 will help fund lifesaving research to develop more sensitive tests that allow prostate cancer to be diagnosed earlier and result in better health outcomes for men.

Bradleys are extremely proud that some of the team were willing to support such a wonderful charity and a huge thank you to everyone who has donated and supported the tash’s!

Well done to Christian Ellis, Piers Born, Joshua Gresham and Jacob Proudfoot from our Exeter branch and Barney Neilson from our Exmouth head office for their wonderful efforts.
