Outside The property is accessed via either two pedestrian entrances to the cottage, one directly into the work shop and one on the other side of Providence Place via large double arched wooden doors into a covered entrance which to one side gives access to The Linhay, the self-contained annexe and to the left, to the utility room. If you carry on through the covered entrance it opens out into the most beautiful tranquil courtyard garden. This garden provides low maintenance but has a wealth of mature beds, flowers and shrubs with plentiful sitting areas benefitting the sun for different times of the day. There is a pretty mature rose bush and a built-in raised pond and water feature. A metal gate to the side of the property gives access to the self contained workshop/studio area where there is a clothes drying area, access to the oil tank and steps lead back down to the living room in the main cottage and access up to the workshop.

Providence Cottage is approached via a pedestrian access only. From the centre of the village and the Quay proceed along Fore Street, up onto Providence Place and the access to Providence Cottage is through double doors clearly marked with a wall plaque on the right hand side.
