The first 10k running event of its kind to be held in Exmouth received a huge amount of interest prior to the event and certainly didn’t disappoint on the day itself. Featuring keen runners from all over Devon, in addition to many who were running to raise money for the event’s nominated charity – Motor Neurone Disease.
With over 500 runners registering to take part and a few entries on the day itself, the seafront was swarming with runners and supporters on Sunday morning. Conditions were perfect and the 5 staff from Bradleys; Robin Burne, Chris Baxter, Kevin James, Laura Proctor, and Anna McKain all completed the race and did themselves extremely proud.
Event organiser, Lizzie Mayne, commented “I’m delighted with how it’s gone and really pleased to see so many people showing support. We hope we can do it again next year!”
Local manager, Lisa Findel-Hawkins was unable to take part due to a recent injury added “I wish I could have taken part today but am pleased it was successful. I’m planning to be there next year and I think we can make it even bigger and better because there was so much support from runners to visitors, it seemed everyone really enjoyed themselves.”
