Bradleys 10km success with fresh and clear conditions

With a fresh chill in the air and clear skies, the scene was set with fantastic running conditions for the first Bradleys 10km race of 2023. LM Events, the event coordinator had registered over 160 runners in the lead up to Sunday 12th February, with a handful of runners registering on the day.

Bang on 9am, the countdown started and the race was underway. It was a close call for who was going to secure first position, with Sammy Allen and Bradleys Autumn 2022 race winner, Daniel Cahill following very closely behind with only 40 seconds in between first and second place. Sammy Cahill crossed over the finishing line first with a time of 35:12 and the first female to cross the finishing line was Emma Jeffereys with a time of 40:38.

Two runners participated from the sponsors, Bradleys Estate Agents. Budleigh Salterton Branch Manager, Robin Burne completed the race in 46 minutes and 53 seconds and Honiton Branch Manager, Joe Keep completed the race in 56 minutes and 31 seconds.

Bradleys Exmouth Manager, Lisa Findel-Hawkins commented “This proved to be another popular event to raise money for MND, which is so important. It was great to see so many runners smiling on their way around the course, Exmouth seafront has to be one of the finest backdrops for any run. The Bradleys 10km race wouldn’t be possible without all of the Marshals who volunteer their Sunday mornings, so a big thank you goes out to them as well as the organisers at LMEvents for another successful race…we are looking forward to the Autumn race already!”
