Bradleys Awards Evening a huge success

- Tue 29 Dec 2015

There were approximately 150 employees in attendance when the region’s largest independent estate agency, Bradleys Estate Agents, gathered for their annual awards evening at their Head Office in Exmouth. The atmosphere was electric, the staff were excited and so the night was set for another memorable evening.

The event celebrates the best performers of the year from across the companies 33 office network as well as recognising the tremendous loyalty shown by some of the staff. It was the Long Service Awards that were presented by the Group Chairman, Brian Bradley, which featured a further 5 employees receiving recognition for their loyalty for 15 /10 years with the company. First up was Kelly Cockerill from the Mutley Plain office having reached 15 years with the company. Then there were the staff that reached 10 years of service; Mandy Huntley (Buckfastleigh), Sally Hooper (Newton Abbot), Lee Charleton (Head Office Marketing Team), Kevin Brandwood (Head office IT Department).

Brian Bradley commented “It is almost unheard of in this industry now but the commitment and loyalty shown by our staff is second to none and it is due to them that we have been awarded the title of ‘The Best in the UK’ by independent review website allagents.co.uk. These staff along with many others that have been with the company for a long period of time, produce consistent service to client after client and are fantastic role models to our younger staff.” The audience were getting louder the more the excitement grew, when the next award was presented by Director, Richard Greetham, for the Luxury Homes Office of the Year which was awarded to the Shaldon office. Next up was the Manager of the Year Award presented by the Managing Director, Francis Marshall. The nominees were read out and the winner was Stuart Randalls from the Mutley Plain office. The penultimate award was the hotly contested Office of the Year Award, once again the count down from 10 built up the atmosphere with the top spot being awarded to the Shaldon Office. No mean feat to beat 32 other offices over the course of the year!

The final award of the evening, Employee of the Year, was presented by Group Chairman, Brian Bradley, with 10 nominees all fully justified for being seen as the cream of the crop in 2015. After a tense build up it was awarded to Katie Ball from the Exeter St Thomas office, who earlier in the year had seen herself promoted to Branch Manager and now has received the coveted title of Employee of the Year out of over 200 employees!

The awards were followed by a buffet and disco as well as the traditional Christmas Charity Raffle. This years sponsored charity, Alzheimers Research UK, were delighted to hear that the demand was as high as ever for tickets. Having raised over £870 in less than an hour, taking the total for the year to over £3,000!

Managing Director, Francis Marshall, commented “This is one of the best events we have had and the competition for the awards was incredible. We continue to drive our own standards higher and higher and are very much looking forward to continuing that in 2016.”
