Bradleys Estate Agents recently took part in their first event of The Funder Games – a fundraising sports series that brings local businesses together in friendly competition while raising vital funds for Hospiscare, a charity providing specialist end-of-life care across Exeter, Central and East Devon.
Representing Bradleys were Tess Findel-Hawkins (Sidmouth) and Josh Findel-Hawkins (Exmouth), who competed in the table tennis event. With limited formal practice—mostly casual games on a garden table during the summer—the pair went in with enthusiasm and determination, aiming to take every point they could.
The standard of competition proved extremely high, with experienced teams pushing them in every match. Despite this, Tess and Josh adapted quickly, worked well as a team, and gave a strong account of themselves throughout the event. Their efforts were rewarded with a 3rd place finish in their heat and 5th overall out of 10 teams, a solid result in a tough field.
Beyond the sporting challenge, the event highlighted Bradleys’ commitment to community involvement and supporting Hospiscare. Alongside participation in The Funder Games, Bradleys are also proud members of Hospiscare’s 40 Club, helping to provide ongoing financial support to the charity’s essential work.
Looking ahead, Bradleys are excited to continue their involvement in The Funder Games series, with further events already planned. The team are looking forward to taking on new challenges, representing the business again, and building on this first experience - so stay tuned for what’s next!
