Bradleys New Homes Director challenges himself to run 100km for Dementia UK

- Tue 11 Jan 2022

What better way to start 2022 by setting yourself a goal as well as raising money for an amazing cause. Bradleys Estate Agents, New Homes Director, Kevin James has set himself the challenge of running 100km from the 26th December 2021 to 31st January 2022. The challenge has been launched by Pygott & Crone and Moneypenny, called ‘A thought for Dementia’ all in aid of Dementia UK.

Dementia UK is a charity set up to provide specialist dementia support for families – through their Admiral Nurse Service. When things get challenging for people with dementia and their families, Admiral Nurses work alongside them. They give the compassionate one-to-one support, guidance and practical solutions people need.

Dementia is an umbrella term that describes a range of conditions that affect the brain. It damages the nerve cells in the brain, so that messages can’t be sent to and from the brain effectively. The condition is not only about memory loss, it can also affect the way you speak, think, feel and behave.

Kevin so far has ran 47.5km and with more than half of January left he is well on the way to completing the 100km goal. Kevin commented “Myself and Bradleys are always thrilled to get involved in charity fundraising, therefor when ‘A thought for Dementia’ challenge was launched, there was no better way to kick off mine and Bradleys commitment to fundraising alongside many professionals within the property market industry.”
