Colleagues at Bradleys Head Office embraced the Halloween spirit while raising money for a worthy cause through a pumpkin carving competition in aid of Hospiscare.
Staff were invited to enter their carved pumpkin creations in return for a small charitable donation, with all proceeds going towards supporting the vital work carried out by Hospiscare across the region.
The competition attracted a variety of imaginative entries, making the judges' task far from easy. After much deliberation, Clair Harmer, Head of Payroll, was crowned the winner with an impressive pumpkin cottage creation. Featuring intricate windows, a handcrafted door, garden details and a beautifully decorated roof, the design captured the judges' attention with its creativity and attention to detail.
Ella Wildman, Graphic Designer, claimed the runner-up spot for her clever Halloween display featuring a skeleton carving and tucking into a pumpkin of its own creation, bringing humour and originality to the competition.
The event was a fantastic opportunity for colleagues to come together, showcase their creativity and raise funds for an important local charity. A big thank you goes to everyone who took part, helping to make the competition both a fun workplace activity and a successful fundraiser for Hospiscare.
Winner, Clair Harmer commented:
"The standard of entries was incredibly high this year, and the judging panel certainly had their work cut out choosing a winner. Thankfully, Hospiscare is the real winner, with all donations supporting the fantastic work they do in our local communities."
