Charity Quiz night raises the bar!

- Wed 12 Jun 2024

A fantastic night was had at the Bradleys Charity quiz and bingo evening on the 9th June held at the Exmouth Railway Club.

The evening kick started at 6pm where everyone was shown to their tables and purchased all their raffle tickets and bingo books for the evening. The quiz then commenced at 6:30pm, with the opportunity to purchase drinks with a bar open all night. The quiz involved two rounds of 20 questions, many of which saw some puzzled faces as well as some smug ones!

Whilst the quiz papers were being marked, Roberta Calamari took to the stage to sing some songs before the winners were announced. Those that purchased bingo cards got to enjoy three cards of bingo which was followed by a raffle featuring an incredible 60 prizes, all donated by local business, with the evening being rounded off with cabaret from Roberta.

The event was held in aid of Hospiscare, a local Devon Charity, supporting people in end-of-life care. Bradleys Estate Agents are proud members of the Hospiscare 40 club, where every year 40 local businesses come together to commit to all raising a minimum of £1,000 each. At the event alone we raised just over £4,000!

The organisers Ashley Evan’s, Customer Experience Team Member, along with Jon Holloway and Lucy Lee, Bradleys Marketing Assistant would like to thank everyone for coming to the evening and supporting such an inspiring charity.

Ashley commented “We are so proud to raise the amount of money from this event, we know how much it means to Hospiscare and the people they support. I’m proud of everyone that helped or contributed to making this the success it was. Credit and thanks must also go to the Railway Club in Exmouth for hosting this event, with their help setting up and generosity.
