DIY hacks to improve your home for less!

- Wed 22 Sep 2021

Thinking about re-vamping your home but a budget is setting you back with the things you really want to do? We have come up with 4 easy ways you can improve your home for less.

1 - Panelling - The new way to make a statement! Panelling is the trend that everyone wants to be a part of but with that, prices are going up for it to be professionally done. With that in mind why not have a go at it yourself and save some money? The items you will need to do this on you own are: MDF wood panelling, a strong adhesive glue, decorators caulk, sand paper, a saw/cutter, a hammer, a spirit level and whatever coloured paint you are wanting to use!

2 - Did you know that you could transform your kitchen simply by adding a vinyl to a worktop? If you are wanting to give your kitchen some extra TLC but just can’t afford a brand new worktop to give it the love it needs, this is for you! It can be as easy as getting some from Amazon for as little as £8 and is so easy to apply yourself. All you will need is a card to be able to smooth out any bubbles when laying down the vinyl and you will see your whole kitchen space transform in an instant!

3 - Re-upholstering your sofa or anything for that matter! You can change up your interior décor so many times with how easy it is to upholster items in your home. It may be that you have fallen in love with a fabric you’ve seen but love the shape and comfort of your sofa, upholstering is the perfect solution!

4 - Do you want to add a new feature wall to your living room or maybe a fresh lick of paint to a wall in your bedroom that’s looking tired? A pot of paint can work wonders to either make your space feel bigger or fresher.
