Gina’s Bernado bake sale success!

On Saturday 23^rd February at Copper Hills, a popular new homes development in Hayle, Cornwall. Gina Thompson put on a fantastic cake sale in the sales suite in order to raise money for Barnardo's a British charity founded by Thomas John Barnardo in 1866, to care for vulnerable children.

Gina is baking, training, and aiming to raise as much money as she can leading up to the big day of The London Marathon. Where she will be running for Barnardo’s which is a charity very close to her heart.

The cake sale was a great success with a total of £255.00 was made on the day through her Just giving page and cash donations in the Sales Suite. Also well supported by the residents of Copper Hills and one resident a lovely Royal Cake Maker donated some delicious Chaussons aux Pommes (French apple pastries) on the day.

Gina commented; “The cake sale was such a success it has been suggested by my customers that I do another one in a month’s time. I’m really grateful to everyone that joined me and donated, I’m sure it will help me to get through the 26.2-mile event.”
