Great success at Budleigh Salterton Lions Club Trail run!

On a sunny Sunday morning, September 3rd, there was great success at the picturesque Woodbury Common where our Budleigh Salterton branch participated in the Lions Club Trail run!

Bradleys Budleigh branch also sponsored the exciting event, organised to raise funds for local charities. It saw an impressive turnout of 170 runners, all eager to make a difference in their community while enjoying the natural beauty of Devon's countryside.

The primary objective of the run was to raise funds for local charities and various community projects. The Lions Club firmly believes in giving back to the community, and this event serves as a testament to their dedication to improving the lives of those in need.

In the men's category, Sam Kelly finished first with a brilliant time of 38 minutes and 27 seconds. In the women's category, Alice Kelly secured the first-place spot with a time of 46 minutes and 49 seconds. The event's triumph was also significantly indebted to the unwavering commitment of the 22 volunteers with first-aid stations and refreshment points, ensuring the safety and comfort of the runners.

Robin Burne, Manager of Bradleys Estate Agents Budleigh Salterton, explained: “With such a fantastic turnout, the enthusiasm and positive energy helped us get through the run on the day. It was lovely to see the community coming together and I’m delighted we could help support this super event”.
