I was delighted to hear the news that the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA), combined with the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA), have launched a TV campaign across the UK. With our industry often receiving bad press from the actions of a minority, it is long overdue that the public were reminded about the schemes for those that wish to adhere to industry standards and a strict code of conduct.

When I joined Bradleys all those years ago I was immediately impressed at how the company was set up with the customer in mind and therefore the highest level of service must be aimed for every single day with each and every client. The independent review website, of which Bradleys are currently ranked 3rd out of over 12,600 estate agents across the country, is another great way in which potential customers can see how estate agents perform based on someone’s actual experience. I check review websites for just about every purchase or service I take up and I am sure that most people do the same, so why not do it for what most peoples’ biggest asset?

In the modern world with the internet providing so many options and yet the ability for just about anyone to set up an estate or letting agency service, it is imperative that the public are informed or simply reminded about what to look for to provide them with peace of mind when they are buying/selling or letting a house. It is common place for customers to put all companies in the same basket and assume they all do the same thing when this is clearly not the case, so this campaign is definitely a step in the right direction. I hope this continues on a regular basis to ensure the general public are aware of what to look for when dealing with what many say is one of the most stressful times of their lives.
