  • 1 – Transform your current costume into something new or have a look at what you have lurking around your home to make into something spooky! It can be as easy as grabbing a few cardboard boxes, cut out some holes and give it a splash of paint and you have created a robot costume. If you don’t have any cardboard boxes laying around, an old sports top or dance costume could easily be made into something scary by ripping a few holes in them.
  • 2 – Halloween at home. Create your own mystery games for your friends or a treasure hunt full of sweet treats for your little one. This will bring you hours of entertainment and is much cheaper than a day out at your local theme park.
  • 3- DIY decorations – Halloween decorations can set the right mood for your celebrations. However, you may end up spending a lot if you get carried away on ready-made ornaments from the shops. If you have some cotton wool in the house, fluff this up until it resembles cobwebs and make spiders legs out of straws. You could even put some plain white paper on the wall and your children could pain their very own masterpieces.
  • 4- Create your own Halloween themed dinner party. You can have lots of fun with your friends or family by creating scary plates of food! For example, sausages and a dollop of ketchup could make a fantastic hand covered in blood or a banana with raisins as eyes and a mouth could make a scary ghost. Get creative and spend a fun afternoon making lots of scary treats.
