Hospiscare are currently celebrating their 40th Anniversary and with that have created the ‘40 club’. Originally a group of 40 businesses in and around Mid and East Devon who pledge to raise a minimum of £1,000 in order for the hospice to get back the vital funds they lost during covid and provide the care needed for their patients. Now the 40 club has over 60 businesses supporting their 40th year celebrations and doing their upmost to raise as much as possible for the charity.
Throughout this year, Hospiscare have launched a variety of fundraising campaigns, such as the Men’s walk, Twilight walk and most recently, the coffee morning campaign. Throughout September, Hospiscare are asking for as many people to get involved with this campaign, whether that be if you are a budding baker or more of a cake-eating enthusiast. The coffee morning is an important campaign, as over the 40 years, many cups of tea are shared in the Hospice and the charity knows just what a difference a hot drink and chat can make.
Bradleys are going to be taking part in this campaign with a coffee morning being held in our Sidmouth and Exeter St Thomas branches in September. Ben Morgan, Manager of our Bradleys Sidmouth Branch commented “We are delighted to be involved with Hospiscares 40 club and support their upcoming campaign. After listening to many different speakers at recent Hospiscare events, it highlights the importance of how the Hospice not only provides care for their patients, but also tremendous support for their families through listening and being there. Our office will be open on our coffee morning for anyone who would like a chat, coffee and cup of tea or some scrumptious cake!”
