Plymouth ranked high in the UK’s top property hotspots

According to property website OnTheMarket, Bradford has been named the leading property hotspot in the country for the second consecutive quarter. In the second quarter, Blackpool moved into second place (up from fifth in Q1), while Rochdale climbed to third (previously 23rd in Q1). Plymouth, the only southern location in the top five, made a significant jump to fourth place from 22nd in Q1. Leicester is a new entrant in the top five, rising from ninth in Q1.

This ranking is based on their Hotspots Index, which utilises a proprietary algorithm comparing property leads and online searches against available property stock. This ranking method highlights the areas with high interest and low stock as the most active or ‘hot’ housing markets

Overall, the north/south divide remains evident, with the most vibrant and affordable locations predominantly in the north. Only one southern location made it into the top ten.
