Runners Tackle Windy Weather at the Bradleys 10K

- Wed 02 Oct 2024

On Sunday, 24th September, the Bradleys Autumn 10K, and recently added 5K, races took place along Exmouth’s Sea front, with a strong turnout of runners participating. The windy weather created a challenging environment, but it didn’t deter the crowds, who turned out to support the runners on the course.

At 9 am, the runners took off, heading into the strong wind towards Orcombe Point before looping back along the beachfront. After completing two laps, participants finished just beyond the Octagon Ice Cream Shop.

In the 10K race, Christian Hewett finished first with an impressive time of 34:41, followed by Luke Pascoe at 36:45 and Sebastian Munday at 36:58. The top female finishers included Victoria France, who crossed the line at 42:14, followed closely by Serene Stone at 42:26 and Sofia Lenzi at 42:53.

In the 5K, Alex Crump claimed the top spot with a time of 18:40, while Kirstie Elias was the fastest female finisher, completing the race in 23:06. It was great to see so many participants put in their best effort!

Marketing Director at Bradleys Estate Agents, Kai Logan, commented “We would like to say a huge congratulations to all participants for their hard work and achievements! It was inspiring to see so many runners take on the challenge despite the windy conditions. We look forward to next year’s spring race with LM Events, where we hope to see even more community members join in the fun and let’s hope the weather is a bit kinder next time!”
