Shaldon’s Platinum Jubilee Quiz

Looking for some fun on a Friday evening? If the answer is yes, look no further! On Friday 4th November, St Peter’s Church in Shaldon are holding a Platinum Jubilee quiz in order to raise funds for the Jubilee Green Canopy Project in the Churchyard.

The Green Canopy Project is a nationwide initiative to mark the Platinum Jubilee, which was meant to conclude in December – the end of the Jubilee year. However, as the official tree planting season in the UK is from October to March, the initiative will now be extended to conclude in March 2023 for those who wish to, the opportunity to plant a tree in remembrance of the late Her Majesty the Queen.

Julie Carden, Manager of the Bradleys Shaldon branch commented “Our team at Bradleys are more than happy to help raise money for this project in St Peter’s Churchyard by selling the tickets for the quiz night. A fantastic place in the community for people to sit and reflect. All tickets are £5 each and can be bought in our office with a Ploughman’s supper provided. Please remember to bring your own drinks and the quiz will take place from 7pm!”
