Success at Honiton's Hospiscare coffee morning!

Bradleys Estate Agents Honiton team recently hosted a successful coffee morning in support of Hospiscare. Throughout September, Hospiscare have launched a coffee morning campaign, whereby they are encouraging people to host an event in order to recognise the importance of sitting down and talking with a cup of coffee and/or delicious piece of cake.

This event brought the community together and featured a fun "Guess the Weight of the Cake" competition, won by Lady Hamilton, taking the delicious looking chocolate cake home!

Hospiscare are currently celebrating their 40th Anniversary and with that have created the ‘40 club’. Originally a group of 40 businesses in and around Mid and East Devon who pledge to raise a minimum of £1,000 in order for the hospice to gain the vital funds they require to provide the care needed for their patients.

Throughout this year, Hospiscare have launched a variety of fundraising campaigns, such as the La La Choirs, half marathons, jumping out of planes, quizzes, raffles, and tabletop sales. But most recently, the Dartmoor drop where they raised money for the local end-of-care life. Hospiscare provides specialised and free nursing to people at the end-of-care life in Exeter, Mid and East Devon. It looks after more than 2,500 patients, supporting patients in the hospice and at their homes.

We didn’t hesitate to get involved in their coffee morning campaign and had a lovely morning chatting to lots of local people over a piece of scrumptious cake and a drink whilst raising money for the fantastic charity.”

Overall, Bradleys in Honiton raised an impressive total of £154.50 for Hospiscare. With a fabulous effort from the whole office for getting involved and local people coming along to support.
