Team Bradleys take on the Nello

Sunday 25th June saw over 1500 cyclists gather in Topsham, Exeter to take part in the famous ‘Nello’ charity cycle event raising money for FORCE cancer charity. This year saw entrants from Bradleys including Robin Burne, Kevin James and Lynn Foster, the latter of which agreed to take on the challenge after her colleague in the Torquay branch had been diagnosed with cancer at the end of last year.

The event witnessed a range of weather from sunshine to rain and even some fog on the hills but as ever, everyone continued regardless no doubt remembering just why they were taking part in the first place. Having completed the 55 mile route, a rather pleased but tired Lynn commented “Someone forgot to tell me about those hills! That really was a tough challenge but to see the amount of money we raised, it was worth it!” Having reached their initial target of £2,000 the Bradleys team have revised the figure to £2,500 following further pledges to add to their current total.
