The Bradleys Vinter Cup, Cornwall’s longest-running T20 cricket competition, is back for its 2025 season, bringing fast-paced action to grounds across the county. First established in 1934, the Vinter Cup has grown to become a staple of the local cricket calendar. Since 2016, the tournament has been proudly sponsored by Bradleys Estate Agents.
Penzance Cricket Club continues to set the bar high, having claimed the 2024 Vinter Cup title in impressive fashion. In the final, they posted a dominant 183/4 against Camborne, the third-highest total ever recorded in a Vinter Cup final. This win marked their 18th title in the competition from an astonishing 30 final appearances, further cementing their legacy as one of Cornwall’s cricketing powerhouses.
This Year’s Fixtures
The 2025 competition is now well underway, with second-round matches featuring some exciting local clashes. Highlights from this week’s fixtures include:
Monday, 12 May: Hayle vs. Penzance 2nd XI; Paul vs. St Just
Tuesday, 13 May: Redruth vs. Falmouth; Truro vs. Camborne 2nd XI
Wednesday, 14 May: Beacon vs. Perranporth; Camborne vs. Penzance; Constantine vs. St Erme; Mullion vs. Helston
All matches are set for evening starts at 6:15pm, offering spectators a great way to enjoy summer cricket after work.
