The Bradleys Vinter Cup, Cornwall’s longest-running T20 cricket competition, is once again delivering exciting midweek cricket action across the county as the 2026 tournament reaches its crucial knockout stages. First established in 1934, the Vinter Cup remains one of the highlights of the Cornish cricket calendar. Since 2016, the competition has been proudly sponsored by Bradleys Estate Agents.
This year’s competition has already produced plenty of drama, with several second-round fixtures affected by weather delays and rescheduled ties. Hayle, Penzance and Perranporth all secured impressive second-round victories, while five matches were postponed before being rearranged earlier this week.
Recent results saw St Just defeat Paul on Monday 8 June, while Tuesday 9 June brought victories for Camborne over Stithians and Redruth against Mullion.
Attention now turned to the remaining second-round clashes, which took place on Thursday 11 June, with Beacon hosting St Just 2nd XI and Helston facing St Erme. Both matches were scheduled for 6:15pm starts.
The quarter-finals then got underway this week as clubs battled for a place in the semi-finals:
Monday 15 June:
Tuesday 16 June:
Wednesday 17 June:
All quarter-final matches were due to begin at 6:15pm.
The semi-finals will take place at Redruth Cricket Club on Tuesday 23 June and Wednesday 24 June, with both fixtures starting at 6:00pm regardless of the participating teams.
This year’s Bradleys Vinter Cup Final will be held at Camborne Cricket Club on Wednesday 8 July at 6:00pm, where two of Cornwall’s top sides will compete for one of the county’s most prestigious cricket trophies.
Manager of Bradleys Camborne office, Nick Jewell commented:
“We’re delighted to sponsor the Vinter Cup over the last 10 years, it is such a popular competition both with players and supporters alike. The final is always a great event for all the family to enjoy, so we encourage as many people to come along to enjoy the occasion.”
As the competition intensifies, clubs from across Cornwall continue their pursuit of Vinter Cup glory. With strong local rivalries, packed evening fixtures and a proud history stretching back more than 90 years, the tournament remains a showcase for community cricket at its finest.
