This is always a very enjoyable day in the ladies’ calendar, and for the 20th year, was again sponsored by Bradleys Estate Agents. Featuring 105 Ladies from clubs all over Devon, the 3 ball Team event requires 2 scores to count.

The weather was once again fair, but not too hot, in fact perfect golf weather when the ladies arrived at 8.30am and continues that way throughout the day.

After the game, competitors were served a buffet of roast ham, grated cheddar cheese, quiche, assorted Salads and jacket potato, followed by tea and cake.

After a most enjoyable day, the final competitors came in at 6.15pm with the presentation taking place at 7pm.

Richard Greetham, Director from Bradleys Estate Agents, presented the prizes, assisted by Mary Burrough, Woodbury Park Ladies Captain.

The team winners were Ann Norman Exeter Golf and County Club, Angela Mullerworth Woodbury Park, Sara Beaven Exeter Golf and Country Club with a score of 84 points. Each winner received a very impressive Silver Trophy, presented by Richard.

There were various opportunities for raising monies and making donations throughout the day with the money going towards the Captains’ Charity, which this year being Pete’s Dragons, who offer comfort after suicide loss. This is a local charity, based in Exmouth, and giving support in the surrounding area. The total raised was £757.56.

Richard Greetham commented after the awards “We are proud to continue to support this superb event at Woodbury Park. It is always well supported and a joy to attend and see who ends up with the trophy! Well done to all that took part and to those arranging, it is great to see such a terrific amount being raised for a local charity.”
