  • What is an open home event?

    An Open Home event is a pre-arranged time for people to come along and view the property with one of our experts in attendance to show them around.
    This is an alternative to individual viewings over various days or weeks. Some people see this as a good way of securing a quick sale, others simply see it as a more convenient way of selling their home.

  • How long is an open home event?

    The events can vary depending on the size of the property. Usually we hold them for 1 hour so that the interest is concentrated. However long the event is, we will advertise the length so people are aware in advance.

  • Can I hold an open home event if I am already on the market?

    Absolutely. In fact we get a lot of interest from properties already on the market, the important thing is to make it appealing so potential buyers have a reason to come to the Open Home event rather than just book a viewing, or if they can’t decide to view, to ensure they do!

  • When is the best point of the marketing process to have an Open Home event?

    Some people like to launch their property to the market this way, which is getting increasingly popular and much like they do in the US and Australia. We are flexible and will discuss all the options at the outset when we put together your marketing strategy. They generally work best when people are anticipating a lot of interest.

  • Will more viewers turn up to an Open Home event?

    By making it easy for potential buyers to see a house you will stand a greater chance of more people attending. We also provide all our Open Home events with additional marketing including a bespoke webpage, we promote all Open Home events to thousands of prospective buyers across the region.

  • Can I market my house at your Open Home event if I am marketing through another agent?

    No. We would need to respect any contract you may have with another agent to avoid the chances of you being charged two fees. We would of course be happy to discuss the marketing of your home should you not be getting much interest.

  • Which day of the week should I hold an Open Home event on?

    We advise the weekends are always best as more people are able to attend. We can of course discuss alternative options should that not suit you.
