If you, or someone you know, is aged 60+ and searching for a new home, it’s likely you have heard of Homewise – but do you know who they really are?
Take a moment to get to know Homewise and understand how they help people aged 60 and over to find security for their future, through their Home for Life Plan.
1. Homewise is a family-run business
Back in 1971, Reg Neal recognised options were limited for people aged 60 and over and began helping people secure the perfect home for their retirement, providing affordable solutions for all.
Now, over 50 years later, Reg’s sons Mark, Sean and Justin run the family business in Worthing, West Sussex. Their family values remain the foundation of the company; and their customers are at the heart of everything they do.
“We treat every customer just like one of the family and their best interests always come first at Homewise.”
Mark Neal, Managing Director - Homewise
This is the reason Bradleys partnered with Homewise in 2018, to offer our customers of all ages a complete service and to ensure those aged 60 and over have access to alternative solutions which may mean they can secure the ideal home for their future.
2. Homewise boost budgets by thousands of pounds
Through their Home for Life Plan, Homewise boost budgets and enable people to secure their next home for less than the market price. Up to 59% less* in fact!
In essence, the Home for Life Plan is a Lifetime Lease. It’s an alternative option for people aged 60+ to secure their next home for significantly less than the market price.
Since 2007 alone, Homewise has purchased over £263 million worth of property for their customers, boosting their customers’ budgets by £79 million, which enabled them to clear over £42 million in debts too!
Homewise provide property products and services; they do not offer any form of financial service or lending (like a loan, mortgage, or equity release), which means they do not fall under the remit of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
The FCA is the UK regulator for companies providing financial products. As Homewise enables property transactions to take place that are free from mortgages, interest or lending, their service is not considered to be a financial product. They are experts in the Home for Life Plan though, and their Code of Practice is set up to ensure honesty and clarity at all times.
