After what for many was the quietest Christmas and New Year period ever experienced we all returned to work hoping to put the experience of 2020 behind us and move forward towards some form of normality. At 8pm on the 4th January the all too familiar sound of our Prime Minister changed any hope we had and confirmed what many feared, that the country is heading back into a lockdown situation.
Whether it was over the festive break that many people had already started making plans for a move in 2021, or well before that, the positive news is that this is still entirely possible. Moving home, whether buying, selling or renting, home moves can still take place safely and securely.
The latest government guidance can be found at the bottom of this page although the reality is that for us at Bradleys, we have been in ‘lockdown’ mode since the 13th May last year when we were given permission to facilitate house moves once again. We follow the guidance of the government, ensuring the safety of our staff, customers and the wider public remains at the centre of everything we do.
Some of the fundamental changes such as the wearing of PPE has become common place for many of us, the locked door policy of our offices and therefore only by appointment can we meet with you face to face, proves to be commonsense. All viewing requests will be met with a video or tour in the first instance prior to actually visiting a property therefore ensuring only suitable people visit homes as with greater qualification of all home-movers timescales.
These changes have enabled the property market across Bradleys to keep moving and moving at a real pace as well. We all have become more efficient with our time and suitability of homes, we have all embraced the use of technology, some with slightly more gritted teeth than others, and ultimately the terrible situation we have all experienced has forced us to find some positives to enhance our lives too.
Whether you are selling or looking to let a property you can choose from a face to face appointment following strict guidelines, a virtual valuation using video calling technology or if perhaps a more tentative enquiry, use our online calculator to gain an estimate of your sales or rental value. All of these options are available via here, social media channels or simply by calling any one of our offices or our Customer Experience Team who continue to operate until 10pm, 7 days a week.
Whilst we continue to be restricted largely to our homes on a day to day basis, we have learned to either, love and enjoy our homes even more or perhaps realised they aren’t quite what we want and therefore may be seeking a new one, if his is the case then please get in contact. We will help you every step of your moving journey safely. We will follow our company motto as we have for the last 28 years; People Serving People.
