CORNWORTHY CASE STUDY

South West Water Case Study

This semi submerged reservoir was sold at the March Auction last year. Located in the South Hams and adjacent to the rustic village of Cornworthy the site is rural but retained in its own boundaries and affords some excellent views to the surrounding countryside. Sale price was £70,000

This year the same structure and land has been the subject of an imaginatively designed detached home planning application. Subsequently the plot is being offered with planning permission for an ultra-modern 3 bedroom detached house. Barc Architects of Exeter handled the project with the owner.

A number of redundant South West Water structures have gained a change of use planning permission, all in spectacular rural locations. Some of the lots offered at this auction may very well have the same potential.

South West Water Case Study

The case history demonstrate the ability for a change of use for a number of redundant assets that have sold in the past, however all purchasers must satisfy themselves as to the potential for planning change by contacting the relevant planning authority in the area the preferred lots are situated.
