Having started running for a bit of light exercise approximately 3 years ago, Chris Baxter got the bug! From Park Runs to 10k races within a fairly short period of time, you could say he started to enjoy the sport of running!
In the autumn of 2018 Chris decided to enter in to the Bath Half Marathon (also known as the Bathalf) to raise vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK. The race took place on Sunday 17th March with over 12,000 runners completing the course and an estimated 40,000 spectators enjoying the event.
Chris completed the 13+ mile hilly course in a very credible time of 2hrs 12 mins. Following the race Chris commented “That was tough but the amazing atmosphere certainly helped me get through it. I’m delighted I’ve done it and any money that I can raise to help this important charity will certainly help”.
